Talent ID Private Lessons

Private lessons are an integral part of a competitive figure skaters' development. In the Talent ID program, skaters will typically start private lessons when they reach Group 3. Please see below information regarding private lessons which you may find useful.

How Do I Know When My Skater Is Ready For Private Lessons?

When skaters are ready for private lessons, a coach, typically one of our Co-Directors, will speak with you directly regarding private lessons. They will assign a private coach based on who they feel will suit your skaters' needs best.

How Much Do Private Lessons Cost?

With private lessons, there are 2 costs involved.

First, there is the cost for your ice time, which is paid to TFSC via Amilia. At the Talent ID level, this is done in the "Talent ID Private Lessons (Ice Only)" category in the Sr. Division program. These sessions are only 30 mins long and skaters are only permitted on the ice during their lesson time. They must be in a lesson for the entire duration of the 30 mins and cannot be left alone for safety reasons. The cost for these sessions are usually $10-$12.

Second, there is the cost for your lesson time, which is arranged with and paid directly to your assigned coach. Every coach at TFSC are independent contractors. Typically coaches will invoice you at the end of every month and you will need to confirm with them directly regarding payment methods.

What Time Are Private Lessons?

Typically, private lessons are taught during our existing STAR 1-3 sessions or during morning Ticket Ice sessions. Please see Amilia or speak with your assigned coach for the most up-to-date information.
